Due to an administrative oversight, for which the Supervisor of Elections takes full responsibility, the hearings of Claims and Objections against the revised list of electors which were scheduled for next week, are rescheduled for April 3rd -- 7th and the official register of electors which was to be published on 1 April 2017, will now be published on April 11th.
The rescheduling of the hearings will not affect Nominations Day, on March 29th, and will also not have any effect on the date of the General Election
The distribution of Voter ID Cards will begin in Cayman Brac on Friday, March 24th and on Saturday, May 25th at the Cayman Brac Agricultural show. ID cards for persons on the Claims and Objections List will be produced, if necessary, once the hearings are concluded for April 11th, 2017 Official List. Voter ID cards issue schedules for Grand Cayman will be announced soon.
