The Ministry of Social Development & Innovation (MSDI), on behalf of the Cayman Islands Centre for Business Development (CICBD), is excited to announce an upcoming outreach initiative to Cayman Brac. This effort aims to directly engage with local entrepreneurs and stakeholders, promoting CICBD’s suite of services, and strengthen community ties across the Cayman Islands. This visit is set to empower local entrepreneurs, showcase the Centre’s innovative service, and create bonds across our island communities.

On Friday 7 March, the CICBD team will be meeting with key businesses in both the public and private sectors. The goal of the visit to the Sister Island is to gain a deeper understanding of current challenges, explore opportunities for growth and collaboration, and assess the micro/small business landscape to identify potential support areas for new and aspiring entrepreneurs.

At the Agriculture Show on 8 March, the CICBD team will be on site to:

  • Engage visitors and share how CICBD’s services can fuel local business growth.
  • Gather information and insights into the unique needs of the community in order to provide personalised support, meaningful engagement, and long-term collaboration.
  • Gauge interest and assess business needs to design tailored support sessions for local enterprises.

“Our outreach to Cayman Brac reaffirms our commitment to empowering every community across all three Cayman Islands. By engaging directly with local entrepreneurs and stakeholders, we aim to better understand their needs, ensuring that our programmes and services are tailored to provide meaningful support. This initiative strengthens our dedication to fostering opportunities and enhancing the local business landscape in ways that truly include everyone.” said Thais Ducent, CICBD Director.

“MSDI remains steadfast in its mission to support entrepreneurs and invest in local businesses through CICBD. Through initiatives like this, we are laying the foundation for an inclusive and thriving future for everyone in all three islands.” - Tamara Ebanks, Chief Officer of MSDI.

Join us as we celebrate innovation, unity, and a bright future for every corner of our islands!
