After two years of success, and with the first graduating crop later this year, the LLM-Master of Laws in International Finance – degree programme opens full-time.
Truman Bodden Law School LLM Course Leader Laura Panadès has opened admissions to the programme for the September 2019 intake recently. The deadline for applications is 30 August 2019.
International students are now welcome to apply, as well as Caymanian nationals and local residents.
The programme tackles selected areas of the Law, providing advanced knowledge of legal rules affecting International Finance, Anti-Money Laundering, Conflict of Laws and Public-Private Partnerships.
The LLM is offered in partnership with the University of Liverpool, a leading UK University. Upon graduation, students will enjoy all the benefits of graduating from a leading UK Higher Education institution having worked towards their degree locally.
Students will gain valuable skills for the marketplace, including detailed understanding of financial issues, legal report writing and oral presentation skills.
It is offered full and part-time, with classes scheduled in the late afternoon in central George Town to facilitate work commitments and enjoy lower levels of traffic.
Full-time students will complete the programme in one year. This is expected to attract international students attracted by Cayman’s reputation as a leading offshore jurisdiction and the efforts of TBLS staff.
Part-time study requires degree completion in two years and is open to Caymanian nationals and local residents only.
