The Honourable Johany Jay Ebanks, MP and Minister of Planning, Agriculture, Housing, Infrastructure, Transport and Development is proud to announce the successful participation of the Ministry of Planning, Agriculture, Housing, Infrastructure, Transport and the Department of Agriculture in the 70th staging of the Denbigh Agricultural, Industrial, and Food Show held in Clarendon, Jamaica. This key event provided a critical platform for fostering innovation, collaboration and resilience in the Caribbean agriculture sector. Minister Jay Ebanks also wishes to extend special thanks to Premier, Honourable Juliana O'Connor-Connolly JP, MP and Minister for Finance and Economic Development, Education, District Administration & Lands and Cabinet Office for her steady leadership throughout this important trip.

"The insights gained from our participation in the Denbigh Agricultural, Industrial, and Food Show will significantly benefit our ongoing initiatives to improve food security and agricultural resilience. Our delegation's attendance underlines our commitment to advancing the development of the Cayman Islands’ agriculture through collaboration and innovation in the face of climate change. We remain committed to leveraging the insights and connections gained from this event to drive forward the continued growth of our agriculture industry" added Minister Jay Ebanks, MP.

Participating in the 70th staging of the Denbigh Agricultural, Industrial, and Food Show enabled networking and knowledge transfer and will facilitate the adoption of other best practices from industry leaders, which perfectly aligns with both global and local standards for sustainability. These benefits will contribute to the mission of food security for the Cayman Islands' agriculture sector.

The Honourable McKeeva Bush, MP and Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Planning, Agriculture, Housing, Infrastructure, Transport and Development also noted that: “Attending the 70th staging of the Denbigh Agricultural, Industrial, and Food Show enabled us to stand with our Jamaican brothers and sisters, as they rebuild their agriculture sector post Hurricane Beryl.
