The Minister of Tourism, Hon. Kenneth Bryan, is demonstrating his commitment to preserving the natural beauty of the Cayman Islands by using his personal billboards to display anti-littering signage for public viewing.

The Minister's billboards are located in high-traffic areas in central George Town, and now feature the message 'be a part of the solution, not the pollution' encouraging residents and visitors to dispose of their trash responsibly and keep the environment clean.

"Keeping our islands clean is a shared responsibility, and I wanted to do my part in promoting responsible waste management practices," said Minister Bryan. "I am personally sponsoring the Beautification Task Force with their anti-littering message, and through this sponsorship, I hope to raise awareness and inspire more people to take action. This is my personal contribution to the Beautification Task Force, and the cost of these signs in particular, are not paid for by the Ministry."

The Minister's billboard messaging is part of a wider initiative in conjunction with the anti-littering campaign launched by the Beautification Task Force (BTF), which is currently working to install anti-littering signage at the various ports of entry, beaches, and along roadways in all three islands.

“Minister Bryan’s passion and proactive approach to tackling the litter issue is commendable “ said Mrs. Theresa Pitcairn, Beautification Task Force chairperson. "His hard work and dedication confirms his commitment to this cause and are an example of how we can all work together to create a cleaner and more sustainable future for our islands. Tourism after all is one of our central income generators.”

The BTF is currently working to install signage by the end of the quarter.
