The National Youth Commission (NYC) is launching its logo design competition today (Monday, 30 January 2023). The designer(s) of the winning entry will receive a $1,000 prize.
Re-established in August 2022, the 13-member body is inviting young Caymanian artists (10-25 years old) to enter by submitting original designs, in order to reintroduce the NYC to the public.
“The NYC logo will be used in event promotion including but not limited to our website, social media platforms, business cards, letterheads, posters, merchandise and promotional materials,” explained National Youth Commission Chairperson, Dr. Ruthlyn Pomares.
The logo’s design should reflect the values of the NYC in being inclusive, youthful, intentional, innovative, and empowered,” Dr. Pomares added.
Entries will be judged on visual appeal, adherence to the concept promoting the contest, quality of the design, and ease of reproduction. For full details of the contest guidelines/rules, please visit the Publications section of the Ministry’s website: https://bit.ly/3kVMFw0
All entries must be submitted to nyccaymanislands@gmail.com by 11.59 pm, Monday, 20 February 2023.
The winner(s) will be notified via email and announced on the Youth Services Unit website: https://www.youthservices.ky/
