At around 12:20AM, Thursday, 30 January, police received a report of a robbery that occurred outside a residential address on Marina Drive, in the vicinity of Orange Drive, Patrick’s Island.
It was reported that at around 9:55PM the previous night, Wednesday, 29 January, a man was returning to his vehicle after making a food delivery, when he was approached by four men dressed in black, with hoodies and masks covering their faces.
Two of the men were armed with a baseball bats, and one with a machete. The victim was struck in the head by one of the men with a baseball bat, causing injury. The suspects proceeded to take a small amount of money from the victim and made good their escape in what is believed to be a silver Honda Fit. The victim attended the hospital for treatment and was subsequently released.
Police are investigating the incident and ask that anyone who may have witnessed the incident or seen any suspicious activity in the vicinity around the time of the incident to please call the police via 911 or the George Town Police Station, on 949-4222.
