Workforce Opportunities & Residency Cayman (WORC) held its final District Day for the year at the end of September at the Aston Rutty Centre in Cayman Brac. This event was a part of WORC's ongoing initiative to engage with local communities, providing vital information about its programmes and services.
Hosting District Days have become a key feature of WORC’s outreach efforts, allowing individuals direct access to valuable resources such as the new Jobs & Online Payment Services portal, a crucial tool for job seekers and employers.
The event was in collaboration with the Cayman Islands Customs and Border Control Service (CBC), the Cayman Islands Fire Service (CIFS), the Cayman Islands Regiment (CIR), and the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service (RCIPS). This multi-agency approach aimed to provide a well-rounded experience, with representatives from each service available to discuss their respective recruitment, training opportunities, and other services.
Approximately twenty four (24) persons attended with the main focus of seeking employment, while others re-activated their job portal account and others registered with WORC for the first time.
Caymanian job seekers are encouraged to register with WORC to access various learning and training programmes as well as employment opportunities.
WORC’s Cayman Brac Manager of Permits, Residency & Status, Raymond Scott said, “We encourage Cayman Brac job seekers to register with WORC to take the first step in receiving valuable learning opportunities and getting assistance in finding employment. Together, we can unlock your potential and pave the way to a successful career be that in the uniformed services, or another industry.”
Caymanians needing assistance in registering on the job portal are asked to contact Customer Care at 945-9672 or email WORCServices@gov.ky with any questions.
