Deputy Governor Franz Manderson selected Personal Assistant to a Grand Court Judge Joanne Cox as Cayman Islands Government Employee of the Month for March for Delivering an Outstanding Customer Service Experience.
Mr Manderson made the presentation at Kirk House last Monday, 29 April to Ms Cox who is the Personal Assistant the Hon. Justice Ingrid Mangatal, Ms Cox started working at Judicial Department on 7 March 2016.
In making the Presentation the Deputy Governor stated “Ms Cox is always willing to assist colleagues without being asked. An example of this is when the Registrar of the Court of Appeal required assistance with several administrative duties during a clean-up exercise and due to increased work in the Court of Appeal. Ms Cox jumped in and assisted the Registrar with her work over an extended period (over many, many months) and she did this without a request for consideration of a duty allowance,"
Every year, the Judiciary delivers some 200 Judgments. Ms Cox's in additional to her role as a Personal Assistant she receives, coordinate and distribute the Judgments for publication on the Judicial website.
Additionally, on her own initiative Ms Cox developed a written guidance document for new Personal Assistants to Judges as a result of her experiences and has trained many new Personal Assistants.
