Just before 10:30PM on Wednesday 6 March, police were dispatched by the 9-1-1 Communication Centre to an address in the Birch Tree Hill area of West Bay, where it was reported that two persons, one armed with an object that appeared to be a handgun and the other a long metal object, entered the residence and demanded money from its occupant.
A struggle ensued between the victim and one of the perpetrators, at which time the two male perpetrators both fled the location. The victim is understood not to have sustained any serious injuries during the attack.
There have been no arrests made in this investigation so far.
The matter is under police investigation and anyone with information regarding this incident is encouraged to contact the West Bay CID at 949-3999.
