Bonfire applications to be addressed to Public Lands Commission

With Easter only 3 weeks away and people already making arrangements to enjoy the long weekend, the Department of Environmental Health (DEH) is reminding campers that all applications for bonfires permits are to be submitted to the Public Lands Commissions (PLC) for consideration.

Following the passing of the Public Lands Regulations 2021, the authority to issue bonfires permits was transferred to the Public Lands Commissions (PLC). Therefore, the Department of Environmental Health (DEH) will no longer process these requests. Applications should be directed to: The Secretary, Public Lands Commission via email at plc@gov.ky.
