Covid 19

Cayman Airways Limited (CAL) is aware of media circulating which shows some of its Cabin Crew and a visiting celebrity – all with masks removed – on board an inbound international repatriation flight on Saturday March 20, 2021.

The airline is working closely with Public Health to determine the resulting impact, if any, and the staff have been placed into quarantine as a precaution.

All active Cayman Airways crew for international flights are fully vaccinated, and special safety protocols are in place to ensure that crew are able to perform their function with mitigated risk of contracting and/or transmitting the Covid-19 virus.

As a result of this breach of those COVID-19 inflight safety protocols, a complete investigation has commenced, and the staff involved have been removed from duty.
