The Cayman Islands Department of Tourism (CIDOT) is pleased to invite residents and visitors alike to experience CIDOT’s island-wide wellness initiative in celebration of World Tourism Day 2024, running from September 21 to 28, 2024.

World Tourism Day, celebrated on September 27 each year, is a time to reflect upon the importance to and impact of tourism on communities and individuals. This year’s global theme, “Tourism and Peace,” will be embodied in CIDOT’s wellness initiative, “Peace & Presence,” which encourages moments of mindfulness, self-connection, and environmental harmony.

The “Peace & Presence” initiative highlights the synergy between the Cayman Islands' natural beauty, rich cultural heritage, and well-being. Through the “Peace & Presence” initiative, CIDOT aims to foster an atmosphere of mindfulness across the islands with a series of wellness events in the week leading up to World Tourism Day.

In collaboration with five local studios and using the tranquility and beauty of the islands as a backdrop, the seven specially curated events will promote peace through yoga, meditation, fitness and holistic practices designed to nurture inner peace and a deeper connection with the self, our community, and the environment.

To take part in the “Peace & Presence” events, contact the participating studios directly for more information and to reserve a spot.
