Business, Covid 19

The Chamber of Commerce is partnering with the Cayman Islands Centre for Business Development (CICBD) for the third in a series of free webinars designed to provide information and guidance to businesses struggling to cope with the impact of Covid-19.

On Friday, April 17, micro and small and businesses will have an opportunity to obtain vital details and get answers to their questions about how they can benefit from Government’s recently announced Covid-19 micro and small business economic relief measures.

“The purpose of this third webinar is to provide businesses with information about the various resources that are available as part of the Government's assistance package and to respond to any questions they may have. We are grateful to the CICDB for hosting this webinar,” said Wil Pineau, CEO of the Chamber of Commerce.

The webinar will be facilitated by a three-member panel from the CICBD and will cover the four areas of assistance to be provided for micro and small businesses: the Low Interest Loan Programme; Micro and Small Business Grants; the Technical Assistance and the Training and Handholding Programmes.

Meeting participants will gain a better understanding of the objectives of the programmes, qualifying requirements and the application process.  The webinar will also include a question and answer session, providing the vital opportunity for individuals to get clarification on their specific circumstances.

All persons wishing to attend this 17 April webinar are required to pre-register using the link below.  The link will take registrants to the Chamber registration page where they will be provided with the technical instructions they will need.

The first two webinars were held on March 30 and April 8.  The March 30 webinar dealt with the issues of redundancies, layoffs and work permit termination and suspension, while the April 8 meeting addressed financial health during and after Covid-19.  Both are now available to view at https://chambercovidupdates.ky/webinars.

The Chamber of Commerce will be announcing other upcoming webinars designed to provide further support to various segments of the Cayman Islands business community.
