In celebration of Literacy Month, the Public Library Service will host "Children's Story Time with Miss Nicola" at the George Town Library on Saturday, 10 September, at 11:00 am.
"After many months of restrictions, the library is keen to offer essential literacy programmes such as Story Time to foster a love of reading and lifelong learning in children. This is our duty to the public, and we take it seriously, as many of us are parents or relatives of children who deserve and crave access to rich literacy programmes to aid in their development," commented Acting Director of Libraries Kevin Goring.
He continued, "Miss Nicola Galvin is a highly talented member of the Library team who truly enjoys reading and performing for children. She brings a level of energy that is sure to thrill the audience and keep them engaged for the duration of the programme, which is designed for toddlers, pre-schoolers and their older siblings. I extend this invitation to those families seeking an outlet for their children and an opportunity to expand their relationship with the library."
