The Ministry of Tourism and Ports is pleased to announce the signing of the contract for Phase 2 of the Central Scranton Park with McAlpine Ltd.
The contract was signed on November 22nd 2024 by the Ministry’s Chief Officer, Mr. Stran Bodden, and Mr. Russell Day, of McAlpine Ltd. Mr. Day was unable to be present for the photo; McAlpine Ltd. was represented by Ms. Amaris Coe.
The Scope of Work for Phase 2 includes but is not limited to:
Deputy Premier Hon. Kenneth Bryan, for whom the park holds particular significance, stated “The signing of the Phase 2 contract fills me with excitement, and I am happy to see this project swiftly moving along. I look forward to the day the works are finished and this park can be opened for the enjoyment of the Cayman Islands community.”
The Ministry wishes to thank the Public Works Department team who have been instrumental in bringing this vision to life, particularly Jody-Ann Griffiths-Reid, Dwayne Atherley and Keisha Callender (pictured).
