The Chief Medical Officer, Dr John Lee, reports a further 383 COVID-19 tests which have been completed over the last 24 hours through the screening programme.
There are ten positive results which likely represent community acquired cases and for whom isolation and contact tracing has already begun. None of these cases appears to be linked with each other. All of the additional 28 tests taken at HMP Northward yesterday were negative.
The last COVID-19 case presenting for clinical management was 27 April. All positive cases reported since then, have been discovered through wider screening programme, and these people have not come forward with any symptoms.
The HSA's polymerase chain reaction (PCR) laboratory is going through a scheduled maintenance day and so will only be reporting clinically urgent specimens.
