The Chief Medical Officer, Dr John Lee, reports 375 COVID-19 tests have been carried out since it was last reported on Wednesday, 22 July. All were negative.

“As the Minister for Health, I am extremely pleased with the Chief Medical Officer‘s announcement that there are no active cases for the first time since 7 March 2020. There are currently no active cases of COVID-19 in the Cayman Islands for This is thanks in no small part to the decisive work of the Cayman Islands Government and the continued cooperation from the community. We should all be extremely proud of this immense achievement for our islands. This great milestone is a testimony of God‘s mercy and the community effort. Nevertheless, it remains important to keep our collective guards up and continue our practice of social distancing, hand hygiene and the wearing of facial coverings,“ said the Minister for Health, Hon. Dwayne Seymour.
