Water Authority completed an inspection of its water infrastructure along the coastline impacted by the severe weather earlier this week and found no damage to the water distribution network.
While no issues were found with the Authority’s infrastructure, customers impacted by this weather are encouraged to inspect their homes for damaged pipes. Customers should be particularly mindful of uprooted trees in their yards that can impact plumbing. Customers are also encouraged to check their meters for any dial movements when they are not using water. These actions can help to identify any potential leaks caused by damaged plumbing. Even small leaks can consume large quantities of water.
