Emergency Services Respond to Explosion Incident in Bodden Town

(RCIPS) - Police, Fire and other emergency services are currently on the scene of a serious incident at an address on Bayfield Crescent, off Hirst Road in Newlands, where an explosion at a residence was reported. The residence received major damage, while some nearby structures were also damaged. At this time, four persons have been reported to have received injuries as result of the incident and are currently being treated by emergency medical services. The area has been cordoned off by police and members of the public are advised to avoid the area.
