After a year-long hiatus due to COVID-19 restrictions, the Cayman Islands Public Library Service (CIPL) invites all parents/guardians to bring babies, from newborns to two-year-olds, to 'Family Rhyme Time' at the George Town Public Library at 10:30 am every Thursday during September.

"We are thrilled to welcome families back to the Story Zone at George Town Library for Family Rhyme Time as part of our Literacy Month activities. This year, we hope to see more families participate in the activities, which seek to foster social and cognitive development in infants and toddlers," said Kevin Goring, Acting Director of Public Libraries.

Mr. Goring continued, "Parents are sure to enjoy reminiscing their childhoods as they partake in a highly interactive rhyme session led by Lorren Stainton, who introduced the programme last year. Each 30-minute rhyme session will feature a variety of classics from "Incy Wincy Spider, I'm a Little Teapot, This Little Piggy and Row, Row, Row Your Boat" to "Baa Baa Black Sheep, Head and Shoulders, Pat-a-Cake and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star".
