Joining the global community in celebrating International Women's Day, leading telecoms provider Flow, Cayman’s largest network, recently toasted community heroes in George Town with a series of special events.
Led by a team of its female technicians, Flow honoured individuals across various professions who are making a profound difference and invaluable contributions to our community.
As part of the celebrations, Flow's teams orchestrated a series of surprises for twenty-three community heroes. These remarkable individuals, including new mothers, were members of the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service (RCIPS), Sunrise Adult Training Centre, Lighthouse School, the Cayman Islands Fire Service, and the Health Services Authority (HSA) Cayman Islands.
They were honoured with purple, white, and green flowers in recognition of the momentous occasion and each hero received one-month free broadband service as a token of appreciation for their outstanding efforts and dedication.
“We are committed to supporting the heroic women who shape our society every day," said Krystle Hinds, Brand Manager, Flow Cayman. "From breaking barriers to safeguarding our communities, nurturing our families, and educating our children, women play an indispensable role in our lives and communities. These moments serve as a reminder of the impact of recognizing and uplifting women in our society."
Additionally, Flow extended its celebration to its valued customers with floral arrangement surprises at its Galleria retail store. The heartwarming reactions from both the community heroes and customers underscored the significance of acknowledging and appreciating the women in our lives.
"As females within the technology industry making a difference, our technicians are proud to celebrate the profound connections we share with our customers. Connections that go beyond just services, but touch lives and empower communities. We were delighted to witness the joy and appreciation expressed by both our community heroes and customers," said Gertrude J. Godfrey, VPTO, Associate Manager, Flow.
