The Cayman Islands Public Library Service (CIPL) invites submissions for the 4th annual 'Easter Bonnet Competition'.
Open to children aged 6 to 17 across the Cayman Islands, the competition encourages creativity and resourcefulness by challenging participants to design and craft Easter bonnets using recycled materials, ranging from plastic bottles to dried leaves.
"We're excited to see the imaginative designs that come in this year," says Andrea Taffe, event organiser and North Side Library branch manager. "We will even provide a variety of art supplies to participants who wish to come into the library to work on their project, to ensure everyone has the tools to be creative and showcase their talents."
Ms. Taffe also encouraged interested persons to sign up for the competition. She stated, "The competition is free, and registration is easy, so sign up today. Winners will take home prizes, such as electronics and art supplies and their entries will be displayed at North Side Public Library!”
Submissions close at 11:59 pm on Friday, 22 March.
Participants can email photographs of their finished Easter bonnets to northsidelibrarybranch@gmail.com or drop them off at any public library.
