Despite being held on one of the hottest days of the summer, the 'Children's Colouring Day' at the George Town Library on Saturday, 27 August 2022, was a huge success.

One hundred twenty-five individuals attended the event and participated in various creative activities ranging from colouring and drawing on paper to painting on canvas and doodling on the pavement with chalk.

"Art develops various cognitive and motor skills that enhance writing and promotes special relations, visual literacy and verbal creativity. So it was fun to watch everyone express themselves creatively with such energy and passion even as they queued up to have their faces painted or receive special prizes and giveaways," commented CIPL Acting Director Mr. Kevin Goring.

Mr. Goring continued, "Due to the success of this year's Colouring Day, the Library will seek to repeat its success next year, possibly in May when it is cooler and more fun for everyone."
