Island Heritage Insurance Company, Ltd. announced today the decision to cancel their annual CharityDrive scheduled for the first week in May.
Employees working remotely, curfew restrictions and social distancing all contribute to making the way CharityDrive works impossible at this time. The funds allocated for this year’s CharityDrive have been repurposed with Island Heritage Insurance pledging $10,000 USD each to Cayman Islands Meals on Wheels and the Cayman Islands Crisis Centre.
Island Heritage Insurance will bring back the popular three day event next year when the company will celebrate 10 years of giving back to the Cayman Islands community.
Island Heritage Insurance started CharityDrive nine years ago as a way for the community to get involved and actively support local charities and their causes by driving around the Island Heritage roundabout. Over the years more than CI $265,000 has been donated to 21 different local charities.
