The Cayman Islands National Museum (CINM) is partnering with the Ministry for Youth, Sports, Culture & Heritage (MYSCH) to host the rescheduled Platinum Jubilee Looky Ya! 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., Saturday, 18 June 2022, Goring Avenue.
The family-friendly ‘Looky Ya! Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee Celebrations at the Museum now include an exciting Mango Eating & Peeling competition, stalls selling artisanal goods, local food, sweet treats and drinks with lively and colourful performances by Pandemix Steelpan, Cayman Islands Folk Singers and the UCCI Dancers.
Free admission to the museum will allow visitors to see its newest attraction, the recently unveiled Miss Annie Huldah Bodden animatronic.
CINM Director Dr. Peggy Leshikar-Denton said: “Our Platinum Jubilee Look Ya! will have something for everyone. As well as shopping and performances, visitors can view a special satellite exhibition at the Old George Town Library honouring the 70th year of the Queen’s ascension to the throne.
“A courtesy shuttle is being arranged to transport visitors to the satellite display, which features a portraiture study of the Princess of York’s early life, as well as commemorative cups and other rarely seen artefacts from the National Collection.”
