Man Arrested Following Report of Suspicious Behaviour, 14 January

At about 11:45AM today, 14 January, a man, age 53 of West Bay, was arrested on suspicion of being an idle and disorderly person in relation to an incident on the afternoon of Sunday, 9 January, near the beach just south of the West Bay Road tunnel. It was reported that members of the public had observed a man engaged in suspicious and possibly indecent behavior near a group of children. The man was approached by a member of the public and then left the location.

The man remains in custody as investigations continue. Anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or who may have seen a man engaging in suspicious behaviour in the area, is asked to contact the RCIPS Family Support Unit at 946-9185, or the George Town Police Station at 949-4222.
