A delegation of tourism officials including Hon Kenneth Bryan, Minister for Tourism are attending the annual Seatrade Cruise Global Conference in Florida, from 25-28 April, 2022.
The delegation includes Chief Officer Stran Bodden and Director of Tourism Mrs. Rosa Harris, along with staff from the Department of Tourism who will be managing the Cayman Islands exhibition booth throughout the duration of the event.
Minister Bryan explained that the Seatrade conference is the largest annual cruise industry gathering and will allow the Cayman Islands delegation to engage with cruise line representatives and key stakeholders in the cruise community.
“With our cruise sector having recently moved to Phase II this is a timely opportunity for the Ministry to network and gain insights from our industry partners,” the Minister said. “I am particularly looking forward to hosting one-on-one meetings with some of the cruise industry’s leading industry players, and attending the panel discussions, workshops and presentations.
Among the conference highlights, delegates will hear directly from three of the largest cruise lines in the world during the keynote address discussing ‘the resiliency of the industry, which is well on its way to emerging stronger than ever.’
