The Ministry of Planning, Agriculture, Housing, Infrastructure, Transport, and Development confirms Cabinet has endorsed Route B3 as the preferred route for the East-West Arterial (EWA) project.
The Ministry says a meticulous evaluation process was used to evaluate four potential routes (B1, B2, B3, and B4) with a goal of ensuring the optimal balance between infrastructure development and environmental stewardship.
In a statement released to the media on Sunday, the Ministry said Route B3 aligns with the Cayman Islands' long-term infrastructure vision. Among the reasons provided:
The Ministry says with the approval of Route B3, “”the project now moves into its next phase, which will involve detailed planning, design, and continued stakeholder engagement to ensure that the development
proceeds with full transparency and community involvement.”
