One Man Arrested Following Weekend Commercial Burglary

Between Sunday, 28 January, and Monday, 29 January officers responded to 5 reports of burglaries of commercial premises in and around the waterfront and central George Town areas. In each of the incidents a glass door or window was broken in order to gain entry.

Following inquiries, on Sunday, 28 January, officers arrested a man, age 27 of George Town, on suspicion of burglary in relation to one of the incidents which had been reported earlier that day at a store on Hospital Road. The man is also believed to be connected to a number of the other recent commercial burglaries.

He remains in custody as investigations continue.
