In the spirit of Literacy Month, the East End Public Library seeks passionate and committed volunteers to assist with its long-standing One-to-One: Reading and Tutoring programme, which begins on Monday, 19 September 2022.

"The One-to-One: Reading and Tutoring programme was borne in 2018 with the aim of guiding/supporting a student who is struggling or needs improvement just in reading. Each year, the Library commits time and energy to several students to help them gain the necessary literacy skills that will allow them to reach their greatest potential," commented East End Library Branch Manager Sandra Ebanks.

She continued, "I trust that members of the community who are passionate about helping children excel in their studies will answer this call to volunteer and truly make a difference in their lives.”
