On 9 November, officers recovered twenty-five (25) packages that were believed to have washed ashore in the Guy Banks Road area of Little Cayman. The packages that were recovered from the location were subsequently inspected and were found to have contained white powdery substances resembling cocaine. The packages weighed approximately 66lbs and carried and estimated value of CI$ 300,000.00.
An extensive search of the affected shoreline was later carried out to ensure that no other packages had come ashore. No other items were found during the search.
On Thursday 26 November, the packages were incinerated.
