The Ministry of Sustainability & Climate Resiliency and Wellness is pleased to announce the grand opening of the Poinciana Rehabilitation Centre, set for Tuesday 10 December 2024.
“I am very excited to confirm the opening of the facility next week,” explained Hon. Dwayne Seymour, Minister for Sustainability & Climate Resiliency and Wellness. “This is a long-awaited momentous occasion for the nation, and I share in the excitement for next week’s event.”
Due to capacity constraints, the grand opening will be an “invitation only” event limited to key stakeholders.
“We are aware that the invitation for the grand opening has been widely shared. However, while we would like to be able to accommodate everyone, unfortunately we simply do not have the capacity to do so at this time,” Mrs. Nellie Pouchie, Chief Officer for the Ministry of Sustainability & Climate Resiliency and Wellness elaborated. “We will be live streaming the opening ceremony on official Cayman Islands Government channels, and we encourage those interested to tune in. I will also note that, given the interest in the facility, the Poinciana team will also be hosting an open house in the future so that the general public can view the facility. An official announcement will be made at a later date,” she added.
The Poinciana Rehabilitation Centre Grand Opening will be live-streamed on official CIGTV channels on Tuesday 10 December at 3:30pm.
