At around 2:00AM, Saturday 22 February, police were dispatched to report of shots fired in the vicinity of Centennial Towers, West Bay Road, West Bay.

It was reported that two men entered the carpark on foot from the direction of Boggy Sands, and opened fire towards two other men in the parking lot. Bullets struck a building and a vehicle, but no persons were injured.

The suspects fled the scene in a black Honda Fit. A Firearms Response Unit that was in the vicinity intercepted the vehicle along Finch Drive, West Bay. Officers arrested the two occupants of the vehicle, a 24-year-old man, and a 41-year-old man, both of West Bay, for Attempted Murder, and they remain in custody. Investigations continue.

In response to the two firearms incidents that occurred in the last 24 hours, high visibility police units and armed units will be patrolling the West Bay district to provide public reassurance and ensure the safety of the community.

Police are investigating the incident and request that anyone with any information contact the West Bay Police Station on 949-3999, or call 911.
