Police Disrupt Drug Activities in West Bay and Bodden Town

The RCIPS continue to carry out operations in an effort to reduce drug activities and antisocial behaviour in our communities.

On Tuesday, 15 September officers had cause to conduct out an operation at a residence in West Bay. A search was conducted at the residence and drug utensils were located and recovered from the residence. Two persons, a 26-year-old-woman and a 41-year-old-man, both from West Bay, were arrested for drug related offenses as a result of the finding from the operation.

Yesterday, Wednesday 16 September police also had cause to carry out an operation at the Coe Wood Beach in Bodden Town.

A search was carried out at the beach and the surrounding area including the parking lot, cabana and restrooms. During the search a quantity of ganja as well as a prohibited weapon was recovered. No arrests were made at this stage of the investigation.

Both incidents are currently being investigated.
