Police Identify Deceased in Sudden Death Incident

The RCIPS can now confirm the identity of the deceased man who fell from the second-story balcony of a storage facility on 24 February. He is Nicholas John Keane, a 63-year-old retired police officer from the West Midland area of the UK. Mr. Keane was visiting the Cayman Islands on a long term stay since December 2020.

The RCIPS offers condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.

The RCIPS continues to investigate the incident along with the Department of Labour, Health and Safety. No arrest has been made in relation to this incident.
