Shortly after 3:20AM 5 May, the 9-1-1 Communications Centre dispatched officers to a report of an armed robbery at a Service Station on Shamrock Road, east of Selkirk Drive. It was reported that two masked men entered the establishment, brandished a gun and demanded cash from the registers. The men then left on foot with a quantity of cash, appearing to head east.
One of the suspects is described as being about 5’6” in height, of slim build and dark complexion, and was wearing a light-coloured jacket with a hood, and a mask.
The second suspect is described as being of light complexion, with similar height and build. He was dressed in full black with a dark-coloured mask.
The matter is currently under investigation by George Town CID, and anyone with any information, or who may have witnessed anything suspicious in the area around the time of the incident, is asked to contact 949-4222.
