Shortly after midnight 28 September, officers responded to a report of an armed robbery at a restaurant in the Marquee Plaza on Lawrence Boulevard. It was reported that four masked men attended the plaza on foot. Two of the men approached the security guard at the location, one of them brandishing a firearm. The other two men approached the restaurant, and one brandished a firearm at the workers inside and took a quantity of cash from the register. All four men then left the location on foot, towards the rear of the plaza. No shots were fired and no one was injured during the incident.
The men were all dressed in all black, with their faces covered. One of the men who was carrying a firearm is described as about 5’8” in height, of dark complexion, and slightly stout.
