Police Investigate Attempted Robbery in George Town

Just after 10:15PM, 3 November, police were dispatched to a medical facility located off Smith Road, near Maple Road, where it was reported that two males tried to rob a man while he was leaving the location.

The males approached the facility and demanded that the man hand over his wallet. The man immediately ran back into the facility, securing the door and called 9-1-1 Communication Centre seeking assistance. The men were believed to have left the location on a motorcycle.

The matter is under investigation and detectives are encouraging anyone with information to call the George Town Police Station at 949-4222.
