Police Investigate Fatal Shooting Incident in West Bay

Just before 4AM, 21 January, police and other emergency services were dispatched to King Road in West Bay, where it was reported that gunshots were heard in the area.

One man, who has since been identified as Travis Alexander Ebanks, age 29, of West Bay, was found with what appeared to be gunshot wounds to the chest. He was transported to the hospital by ambulance where he was later pronounced deceased. The RCIPS expresses condolences to his family and loved ones.

This incident is being investigated by the police who are currently on scene. The public is being asked to avoid this area if possible. Detectives are appealing for witnesses to come forward and anyone with information is encouraged to call the Major Incident Room at 649-2930.
