Police Investigate Fire at RCIPS Business Centre in George Town

At about 8:40PM Monday, 26 October, officers responded to a report of a fire at the RCIPS Business Center located at Windjammer Plaza on Walkers Road. The Cayman Islands Fire Service attended the location and extinguished the fire. No one was injured in the incident.

The fire is being treated as a criminal act of arson and is being investigated by RCIPS CID. Anyone with any information or who may have witnessed the incident is asked to contact the RCIPS Major Incident Room at 649-2930.

The fire resulted in extensive smoke and water damage to the premises. As a result, the Police Business Center at Windjammer Plaza, including the Criminal Records Office and Professional Standards Unit, is currently closed to the public.
