Police Investigate Indecent Assault on Eastern Avenue
On 25 October, officers received a report of an indecent assault which had taken place on Eastern Avenue at about 4:30AM. A woman had been walking on Eastern Avenue, south of Saturn Close, when she passed a male unknown to her on a bicycle. The male then approached her from behind, grabbed her, and reached down her pants. A struggle ensued, during which the woman was pushed to the ground and received minor injuries to her face. The male then fled the location.
The suspect is described as being a tall black male between 20 and 30 years of age, with curly hair. He was wearing a blue shirt and brown work boots.
The matter is currently under investigation and anyone with any information is asked to contact George Town CID at 949-4222.
