Shortly after 11:30AM on Saturday, 29 July, officers received a report of a robbery which occurred at about 10:30PM the previous night, Friday, 28 July. It was reported that a man was travelling on a motorcycle in the vicinity of North Sound Estates, Bodden Town, when he experienced difficulties due to the road conditions, lost control of the motorcycle and fell off. Shortly afterwards another man, unknown to him, approached on a bicycle. The second man brandished a knife and demanded money from the first man, who attempted to escape on foot. However, the second man pursued him, until eventually the first man produced a quantity of cash. The second man then fled the location on the bicycle with the cash.
The matter is under investigation by Bodden Town CID, and anyone with any information, or who may have witnessed the incident, is asked to contact 947-2220.
