Just after 8PM on Monday, 13 March, police were dispatched to report of a robbery at a restaurant located on Shedden Road in George Town.
It was a reported that a man wearing full black clothing, a hoodie and with his face covered, entered the premises and brandished what appeared to have been a handgun. The man approached the cashiers at the restaurant, demanded money and left the location on a bicycle.
Police attended the location and searched the surrounding areas of George Town in an effort to locate the man, to no avail. During the search, a quantity of cash was stolen. No shots were fired during the incident and no injuries were reported.
