Police Investigate Robbery Incident in West Bay
Just before 10PM 19 January, police were dispatched by the 9-1-1 Communication Centre to a report of a robbery that took place along Town Hall Road, in West Bay.
It was reported that a woman walking in the parking lot of an apartment complex located on Town Hall Road was approached by two men, one of whom brandished a handgun. She was pushed to the ground and robbed of her handbag. Inside the handbag was a quantity of cash, electronic items and other personal items. The men fled the location on foot.
Both men were described as being short and of slim build, and at the time of the incident, were fully covered in dark clothing, wearing shirts as masks to cover their faces.
The incident is being investigated by the Criminal Investigations Department and detectives are encouraging anyone with information to call the West Bay Police Station at 949-3999.
