Just before 4:30AM on Saturday 23 March, police and other emergency services were dispatched by the 9-1-1 Communications Centre to a report of a motor vehicle collision involving two vehicles, which took place on Shamrock Road in the vicinity of Beach Bay Road. It is believed that one vehicle collided with a light pole and a second vehicle, coming upon the scene, then collided with the disabled vehicle that was just involved in the previous accident.

One of the vehicles had three occupants and the other had one occupant. All four persons were extracted from the vehicles with the assistance of the Cayman Islands Fire Service and all were transported to the hospital by ambulance. Three persons were treated at the hospital later released while the fourth person remains in hospital being treated for what is believed to be serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
