Update:
Police have finished their investigations at the scene of the incident and have now turned the scene over to CUC.
A concrete pole was completely broken as a result of the collision and CUC personal are now undertaking significant repair work.
CUC traffic control officers are directing traffic at the scene. RCIPS advise motorists to proceed with caution if travelling in the area.
The driver, a man, involved in the collision is deceased.
RCIPS expresses its condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.

Police Investigate Serious Collison in Bodden Town, 11 November
Shortly before 3:30PM today, police and other emergency services were dispatched by the 9-1-1 Communications Centre to a report of a single-vehicle collision that took place along Bodden Town Road between Bronte Way and Longfellow Circle in the area of Midland Acres.
The driver of the vehicle involved has been transported to the hospital by ambulance and his injuries are considered to be serious and life-threatening. The Bodden Town Road in this area is currently blocked while accident investigators are on scene carrying out investigations.
There are no diversions in this area so motorist are being advised to expect delays and avoid the area if possible. Investigators are working diligently to re-open the road as soon as possible.
