Just after 5PM, 24 February, police and other emergency services were dispatched by the 9-1-1 Communications Centre to Ashgo Street, George Town, where it was reported that a man fell from the second story of a storage building.
It was reported that the victim along with two other persons were standing on the outside balcony of the storage facility which had a railing on the second floor, when one of the three, a man age 63, who is a visitor from the UK, fell from the second story balcony to the ground floor. Emergency Medical Services attended the location and transported the man to the hospital by ambulance where he was later pronounced dead by the attending doctor.
The circumstances of this incident is being reviewed by the police.
