Shortly before 9:30PM on Friday, 11 March, officers responded to a report of a traffic collision on West Bay Road, north of the Yacht Club Roundabout, involving a white Nissan Cube and a blue and white Ford LTA-9000 Tractor Trailer. The vehicles collided while the Ford was parked in the northbound lane to conduct roadside work, and the Nissan was travelling northbound. The driver of the Nissan received injuries which appear to be serious but non-life-threatening, while the driver of the truck was uninjured. Emergency services attended the location and the driver of the Nissan was transported to the Cayman Islands Hospital for treatment, where he remains in stable condition.

Both lanes of West Bay Road, north of the Yacht Club roundabout, were temporarily closed as officers carried out investigative actions, and were subsequently re-opened. The matter remains under investigation.
