Police Request Public Assistance to Locate Vehicle Involved in Collision on Smith Road

Police are requesting the public’s assistance in locating a vehicle which was involved in a collision with a pedestrian on Smith Road, George Town, on Saturday, 18 December, just before 7:00PM.

The vehicle, which is described as a small dark-coloured car, is reported to have struck a pedestrian on Smith Road, just east of the Smith Road Centre, at about 6:51PM, and immediately fled the location, continuing to travel east towards Bobby Thompson Way.

The pedestrian has subsequently been released from hospital, having been treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The collision remains under investigation by police and anyone with information, or who may know the location of the vehicle involved, is encouraged to call the Traffic & Roads Policing Unit at 649-6254 or the George Town Police Station at 949-4222.
